Haug & Datter
01 · Why

For lending circles you build yourself.

Naboskap is for the friend group, the street, the cabin neighbours, the parents' chat. Not for the whole housing co-op or the whole neighbourhood. Just for the people you actually trust enough to borrow from.

Other neighbour apps are address-based and open up to everyone in a circle. We do the opposite. Closed, hand-picked groups. Trust comes from existing relationships. The app just carries the message.

Built by a two-and-a-half-person studio. The daughter has strong opinions on what's worth borrowing.

02 · How it feels

Asynchronous, not chat.

Request, notification, reply. You post «need a ladder for the weekend», someone in the group says «mine's by the garage», you agree on when. No direct chat, no pressure to answer right away.

It's deliberately easy to borrow within an existing group, and a little friction to start one or invite. That's a feature, not a bug. Hand-picked is the whole point.

The design is warm and Nordic (Fraunces serif, paper texture), not techy. The tone is that someone knows someone.

03 · What it does

The structure for borrowing from each other.

Groups you own or belong to. The free version lets you be in 1 group at a time. Naboskap+ (one-time purchase, 59 NOK) raises the cap to 5.

Inventory. Things you've put up for lending with name, photo and a short pickup note («by the garage, take when you need»). The same item can be visible in several groups, and you choose which.

Requests in two styles. Open, where everyone in the group sees. Direct, where only one specific neighbour gets the notification. Pick a delivery mode (pickup, delivery, by arrangement) and an agreed date.

Syncs via your own iCloud. No server, no analytics profile, no identifiers. Anonymous usage signals can be turned off in the app.
